MPLC Philosophy
We believe that every child can love learning and pride ourselves in developing that love of learning in your child.
Our Montessori program offers exceptional preparation for elementary school. Our youngest learners are introduced to phonics and pre-writing skills which are built on, at the child’s own pace, over the following years. During their final year the kindergarten children explode into reading and excel in math.
Academic rigor at MPLC is balanced with plenty of outdoor play, yoga and dance, music and songs, performing in concerts, a comprehensive social-emotional curriculum and plenty of child-led play.
Cleaning and Illness
We maintain a strict illness policy at MPLC. Children may attend school if they have been symptom and medication free for a full 24 hours.
Cleaning protocols are followed at all times at MPLC. Toys, equipment, and communal spaces are cleaned at a schedule that meets or exceeds Alberta Environmental Public Health requirements.
Handwashing is one of the first activities we learn in September. Excellent handwashing habits protect ourselves and others by preventing the spread of unwanted germs.
