FAQ
A: Yes, due to the high popularity and quality of our program, there is often a waitlist for enrolling at MPLC. However, we encourage all interested families to apply, as spaces may become available throughout the year. To join the waitlist, please contact us to arrange a tour. Our admission process is not strictly based on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather on a variety of factors to ensure a balanced and diverse classroom environment. Additionally, taking a tour of our facility is required as part of the application process. Once your application is received, we will keep you informed of your status and any available openings. We appreciate your patience and interest in our program, where young minds bloom and excel in Montessori education.
MPLC runs a full-day program, and children benefit most from full-time attendance, especially in the kindergarten level programming. However, we recognize that families have different needs and are happy to support alternative attendance schedules. We will work with you to accommodate your needs and align with MPLC programming and Government funding programs.
At MPLC, we have designated closure days for professional development, program set-up, and staff breaks to ensure the highest quality of care and education. Parents will be informed about all closure dates during the parent orientation and through the parent handbook provided at enrollment. Additionally, reminders will be communicated in advance to keep everyone well-informed.
A: Parents are responsible for providing both lunch and snacks for their children. These meals should be brought from home each day. To support a variety of dietary requirements and to ensure freshness, we provide fridges where lunches can be stored and microwaves to heat up meals if necessary.
If you have any specific dietary concerns or allergies, please communicate them to our staff so we can accommodate your child’s needs effectively.
A: We prioritize a balanced schedule that includes ample playtime. Our daily routine is designed to allocate sufficient time for both structured and unstructured play. Playtime is not only critical for the physical development of children but also for their emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Through play, children learn to interact with their peers, develop problem-solving skills, and foster creativity. Our Montessori approach integrates play with learning, ensuring that children are engaged and motivated. Play nurtures essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. By providing ample playtime, we create an environment where young minds can flourish and excel, staying true to our mission of fostering holistic development.
Mixed age classrooms at MPLC foster a collaborative learning environment where younger children learn from older peers, and older children reinforce their knowledge by mentoring younger classmates. This dynamic nurtures social, emotional, and cognitive skills, promoting a sense of community and empathy. Children can progress at their own pace, allowing for individualized learning experiences. Mixed age settings also encourage leadership and responsibility among older children, boosting their self-esteem and preparing them for future challenges. This approach aligns with our belief in nurturing young minds to bloom and excel in all aspects of life.
